The Power of Active Visualization

"Confidence is contagious. So is lack of confidence."

- Vince Lombardi

http://www.profitingforward.com

As a teenager, my favorite sport (after basketball) was fast-pitch softball. I was a catcher, slow afoot but determined. If you've ever played fast-pitch softball, you know that the ball is on top of you so quickly after leaving the pitcher's hand that you can't afford to blink. Which is why I almost never hit the ball out of the infield the first year I played in an organized league.

When I came to bat during one particular game, the second baseman for the other team yelled to the outfielders, "Move in. This guy's an infield hitter." Sure enough, I hit a dribbler to the right side of the mound.

But the second baseman's remark really ticked me off - so much so that it made me determined to do something about my meek infield hitting. I began by spending hours thinking about my hitting stance and how I swung the bat.

The first mistake I realized I was making was that I was putting my left foot "in the bucket" - stepping toward third base instead of toward the pitcher. When your first step is away from the mound, it gives you a head start on getting out of the way if the pitch ends up coming straight at you. Unfortunately, it's not possible to hit with power when your pivot foot is preparing to head for the hills.

Second, I realized that I wasn't swinging the bat with authority. (Experienced Major League scouts often categorize players as having a "quick bat" or "slow bat.")

Third, I was making the mistake of taking my eye off the ball, a result of focusing on getting out of the way.

Fourth, I was hitting the ball with a stiff swing - i.e., I wasn't "breaking my wrists" at the moment of impact.

These four steps are a lot to concentrate on when the ball is coming at you from 50 feet away at breakneck speed. But I was determined to become a good hitter, so I started practicing them in my backyard every evening.

You might ask how I could practice hitting a ball... without actually hitting a ball. Well, I did it by using something I now call "active visualization" - the conscious attempt to influence the outcome of events by vividly picturing those outcomes in advance. This is a very powerful concept that can produce truly amazing results for the person who is willing to concentrate with intensity.

I got down in my batting crouch hundreds of times during each of my practice sessions and, with intense concentration, visualized the pitcher going through his windup and letting go of the ball. As I pictured the windup, I focused on stepping directly toward the pitcher with my left foot, which was a bold psychological statement that I intended to meet the pitch head on.

In step two of my practice, I swung the bat as hard as I could - initially in slow motion, then working up to full speed. For the first time, I was attacking the pitcher.

In step three, I practiced keeping my eyes glued to the end of the bat and visualized it making contact with the ball.

Finally, at the last instant, I sharply broke my wrists.

Each evening, after practicing these four steps in slow motion, I would begin to gradually increase my speed until I was swinging at full throttle. And I would mentally count the steps in order to give myself a rhythm.

I still remember the first game in which my 1-2-3-4 visualization practice produced positive results. The other team had a very fast left-handed pitcher who was pretty wild - just the kind of pitcher that would have scared me to death prior to my visualization practice.

I don't know exactly how to express what I felt the first time I came to bat, but I distinctly remember there being no doubt in my mind that I was going to hit the ball hard to the outfield. I had visualized and practiced it so many times that I almost felt as though I had an unfair advantage.

In fact, I played a mental game with myself and pretended I was practicing in my backyard. When the pitcher went into his familiar windmill windup, I knew the instant I stepped directly toward him that I was going to make solid contact with the ball. And I did - a cannon shot that almost took his ear off.

I went three for three that day, all line drives to the outfield. After four straight games of great hitting, the manager installed me as the cleanup hitter, and I remained there for the rest of the season.

Instead of weakly dribbling the ball to the right side of the infield, I now pulled everything to the left, because I was always way out in front of the pitch. So much so that I hit a lot of line drives down the left-field line that went foul, and teams actually started shifting both their infields and outfields toward the left side of the diamond when I came to bat.

Little did I realize at the time that my successful experiment with the power of visualization would be one of the most important tools I would frequently employ years later in the business world. Before business meetings, I would play out in my mind every possible objection, question, and scenario I could imagine. And I would think through and practice how I would handle just about any obstacle that was placed in my path.

Preparation through visualization takes an excruciating amount of mental effort. But once you begin reaping the benefits of your efforts, I think you'll find that the results are worth it. What it gets down to is paying the price out front... and enjoying the benefits down the road.

An Easy Path To Writing Articles

http://www.profitingforward.com

Writing Articles is a great promotional method and a quick path to widespread acceptance and recognition in your chosen field. Eventually it can be great fun, but often first articles are reworked many times before you achieve a reasonably polished result. However, this doesn't need to be the case.

Or rather, some paths are much easier to follow. That is not to say there is no work involved - and sometimes hard work. After all, you still have to walk the path and some are steeper than others.

Here's a "quick start plan" to get you going:

1. First, keep in mind that your articles should reflect your personality and style. Not everyone writes in the same manner. Your style will spring from the way you express yourself, using words and phrases you feel comfortable with. To add "personality" to your writing, share some of yourself with your readers; make your writing uniquely your own. It's fine to read ezines and others' articles to see what people may be interested in and spark your own ideas, but don't pattern yourself after someone else. People want to feel that they know YOU - your knowledge and personality. This is what builds loyalty.

If it fits with your subject, don't be afraid to mention your product or service, but DON'T write a "glorified ad" and call it an article! That can offend many publishers so that they won't even consider articles from you in the future.

2. You'll also need some basic tools. Get a notebook and pen or, if you are a "cut and paste" writer like me - a word processor or computer, and just brainstorm ideas for articles. If you're at a total loss, read some articles in other ezines and websites - that may spark an idea for a different approach to the same subject or remind you of your own experiences in that area.

Think about what YOU need or want to know. Is there a problem area that has puzzled you? If so, it's likely that others are also curious about it and, if you research and write about the subject, would like to read your thoughts. Also consider what you have learned from experience that might help others? Once you get started you will come up with many ideas. Write each one down. If you think of a good title for that article, write that down too. Make it "catchy."

3. What you should do next depends on you. There are several ways writers work, depending on their personalities. One good approach is to organize your points by making an outline of the information you plan to include or the points you intend to make. Then all you have to do is go back and "flesh out" the points, adding useful facts or links to more information.

Another approach, if you like to teach, is to write just as though you are explaining the subject to the reader in person. Either method is fine, just do what is comfortable for you. One method may work best for one kind of article and the other for another kind.

4. Be sure to use a spell checker! If you have one, run the grammar checker, also. Have someone else proofread it for you. This is especially the case if English is not your native language. Even professional proofreaders will tell you that they try to have someone else proofread their own writing, because it can be very difficult trying catch your own mistakes.

5. Try reading aloud the finished article so that you get a feeling for the rhythm and flow - and especially the sense - of it. Better still, read it to someone else who will ask questions if they don't understand some point. (This might also prompt an idea for a sequel!}

6. Think ahead to how you intend to distribute your article. Once you have finished it, and made any necessary changes, you will need to submit it to as many websites and ezines as you can. Search the web for "article directory" and you will find many places to submit your article for free. There are also, of course, paid services and software that will do the submissions for you. Distribution can be labor intensive and very time-consuming. To keep up your motivation and free your time for writing articles do some in-depth comparative shopping. Professionals lean towards paid services as the most cost-effective approach. There are also several good software programs available for article submission and a search of Google will quickly list them for you.

The fastest and easiest way by far to get a following of people who recognize your name and listen to what you recommend is to write articles. For many people, clicking on the links in articles, forums, and discussion groups signatures is their primary method of finding good information.

This method also helps to locate the "experts". From my own experience, I reasoned that if the person was published, odds were that they were somewhat of an expert on that subject. And, if they were experts, the products and services they sold or recommended were likely to be good. Those were the people whose products I bought and whose lists I joined.

By including a signature or bio with each article, including a line or two about your business and your website URL, it will generate traffic for you - the best kind of targeted traffic, too!

Once you've written your first article, the path gets much easier. In fact, you may discover, as I did, that you have a hard time stopping!

Opt In List Building: On Keeping Online Businesses Profitable

Copyright© Omar Jackson

http://www.profitingforward.com

The following article covers a topic that has recently moved to center stage--at least it seems that way. If you've been thinking you need to know more about it, here's your opportunity.

Since the advent of the information technology, the Internet had been a valuable commodity to most people. Here, they find ways on how to earn more money even without having to spend more capital on building a business.

Nowadays, many business people are realizing the importance of email marketing. Through emails, an online business can market their product directly through their customers.

Generally, the main purpose of email marketing is to reach their target audience as quickly and as direct as possible. They need to reach their target market so as to promote their products and services that would benefit their customers.

However, some businesses use email marketing in order to maintain their contact and relationship with their customers.

The reason why email marketing has grown in such unprecedented rate is based on the fact that people in the virtual community are always hungry for information. They subscribe to information that they are interested in.

On the other hand, not all people are willing to subscribe to such information. They may be interested on your products once but may no longer be interested to buy again. Moreover, when you continue to send those emails that do not have their permissions, you can be accused of spamming.

Today, spamming is a serious offense especially in the world of information technology. Because the Internet is such a wild place, most authorities regard the privacy of each person as valuable and they continue to uphold this thinking even on the Internet.

With this, the creation of opt in list had gained tremendous acceptance. Because of its viability and feasibility to most online businesses, a lot of people have realized how important opt in lists are in email marketing.

Basically, opt in list refers to the list of email addresses of people who have agreed to subscribe to your mailing list. In this way, you can freely send emails that entail promotions, brochures, new product announcements, and every aspect of your marketing campaign.

Hopefully the information presented so far has been applicable. You might also want to consider the following:

When you build an opt in list, you do not only increase the probability of being successful in email marketing but also boost your sales and profits as well. This is because building an opt in list will give you the chance to stay in contact with your customers by getting their email address.

In this manner, you can continue to promote your products and services in which they are interested in because they have opted to subscribe in your mailing list. Hence, whatever it is that you feed them, chances are, they will most likely respond positively.

In reality, building an opt in list is actually letting the people realize the charisma and magic of email marketing. In this way, spams will be avoided, if not eliminated, and will not ruin the positive image of email marketing.

With spamming, email marketing becomes a disgraceful activity in the Internet. But with opt in list, online businesses can continue to boost their businesses through email marketing without having to worry about being accused of spamming.

In building opt in list, there are two types to be considered. The first one is the single opt-in and the other one is the double opt-in or the confirmed opt-in.

In building single opt-in list, online businesses would simply use a “sign-up tag” in their web sites so that every time a person visits their website, he or she can opt to subscribe in the business’ email list.

On the other hand, a confirmed opt-in list or double opt-in entails a confirmation message after the customer had subscribed to the particular web site’s email list.

Usually, the confirmation takes place by replying on a system-generated message that asks for a confirmation of the subscription or by clicking on a link that entails the confirmation of the customer.

Whatever type of opt in list you would prefer, each has its own pros and cons when it comes to email marketing. But nevertheless, both are designed to give your online business the best solution possible in order to generate emails and permissions without having to get into trouble.

Indeed, email marketing is such a profitable business in the Internet. But it would not be complete and will never succeed without the help of the opt-in lists. These two must always go hand-in-hand in order to be successful in the virtual world of Internet marketing.

As your knowledge about email marketing continues to grow, you will begin to see how email marketing fits into the overall scheme of things. Knowing how something relates to the rest of the world is important too.

Setting Goals that Sizzle

http://www.profitingforward.com

Do you start the year off with phenomenal intentions and suddenly find yourself facing December 31st with little to show for it? Do you have a mental wish list of things to do, places to visit, or home improvements to make that’s a mile long and getting longer? Are you feeling kind of ho hum about your career?

Your problem may not be a lack of self-discipline or an over-booked day planner, but simply an inability to set the right targets…goals that sizzle. Walk through the following eight steps and say good-bye to chaos, overwhelm, and unfulfilled wishes.

STEP 1: Connect to Your Desire
This is the first and most critical step in creating successful goals. If you can’t answer the question, “Why is this goal important?” get ready for an uphill battle. If you are setting work-related goals that are not your choosing, ask, “How does this goal impact me? Does planning the company picnic for my boss earn me a fantastic performance review, the recognition of my peers, or the satisfaction of creating a memorable event?” Dig around and find a nugget of passion that you can relate to the goal at hand.

STEP 2: Plan Ahead
"Vision without action is a daydream. Action without a plan is a nightmare." –Japanese proverb. Once you’ve pin-pointed an undeniable desire for this goal, develop a written plan of action. One of the most widely used methods of goal planning is the SMART method: Specific, Measurable, Action-oriented, Realistic, Time-framed. Take the time to satisfy in detail each of the criteria in writing.

STEP 3: Become Either a Visionary or a Task Master
Are you are fantastic list maker who gets easily overwhelmed by a towering to do list? Take a step back from the nitty gritty and look farther ahead. Write a vision statement by looking at the big picture. Or are you a dreamer who has trouble getting focused? Break the big goal into the tiniest possible tasks. By listing the easy-to-manage smaller steps, you will see that even baby steps help you reach your goal.

STEP 4: Make Two Promises
Make yourself accountable for both the tasks and the ultimate goal. First, make a promise to others: your family, customer, or business associates. A study showed that salesmen hit their targets consistently if their projections were made public. So promise others you will deliver. Secondly, make a promise to yourself based on the desire you identified in step #1. Write your goal with a specific deadline and post it where you are bound to see it several times a day.

STEP 5: Make It Active vs. Passive
Don’t fall prey to the “if/then” mentality: “If I win the lottery, then I’ll get in shape. If I get a new job, then I’ll be happy.” You will only succeed if you make your participation mandatory. Don’t rely on fate to save the day.

STEP 6: Cultivate Flexibility
Even though you have an outstanding goal with a task list carefully crafted down to the tiniest detail, remain open to change. Those who hold fast to a prescribed outcome are less likely to roll with the punches and often quit whenever things don’t go as planned. Remain open to a myriad of possibilities.

STEP 7: Engineer a Supportive Environment
Don’t believe that reaching any goal is necessarily born out of massive self-discipline and painful sacrifices. Consider creating the right environment to support you in your efforts. If you struggle with exercise, you might draw up a workout task calendar. However, a more supportive environment can include hiring a personal trainer or, better yet, volunteering to coach the local youth soccer team on a weekly basis.

STEP 8: Have Faith
Believe in your success. If you believe that you will fail, you will prove yourself right without even trying. Banish doubt and embrace every failure as a clue leading you one step closer to success.

Seven Questions Every Ambitious Person Needs To Answer

Copyright© Omar Jackson

http://www.profitingforward.com

Here's a quick quiz for you to help you determine if you are on track for success.

Q1: Where am I now in comparison to where I was 12 months ago?

The best test of your strategies is to see if they are working or not, and the simplest way to do that is to look at the changes that have occurred for you over the last 12 months.

If you have not made substantial improvement in your life in that period of time then it is a strong clue that you need to change what you are doing.

Q2: What was the quality of my success efforts over the last 12 months?

Then success efforts that you have been making can be assessed for their quality and quantity. You assess quality by asking which actions have produced good results and which have not.

If something is producing good results then keep doing it.

Have your actions over the last 12 months been producing the outcomes that you desire?

Q3: What was the quantity of my success efforts over the last 12 months?

Quality of effort is all good and fine but if you apply it only occasionally then it amounts to very little. Good quality action needs to also be massive action.

Have you been taking enough action over the last 12 months or have you been making more talk than action?

Q4: Are the people I'm mixing with helping me to move forward or holding me back?

This is perhaps the most important question. There is an old proverb "introduce me to a person's friends and I will tell you what that person is like."

The people we mix with on a regular basis have a huge influence on what direction we move in. Take a moment to look at your friends and decide whether or not they are the right friends to help you achieve the success you are aiming for.

Q 5: How would I rate my People Skills as demonstrated over the last 12 months?

What have you done to develop or improve your charisma? Do you find that people are inspired by you or do you need to work on this area of people skills?

How effectively have you given criticism when necessary? Do you achieve the desired outcome while still maintaining good relationships?

Q6: How much persistence have I shown (or did I give up)?

Have you stuck to your plans over the last 12 months or have you made plans but not followed through on them?

Have you allowed yourself to be beaten down by obstacles and resistance or have you persisted and pushed your way through?

Q7: Have I allowed myself to be distracted from my goals?

A major enemy of success is day to day living. It is easy to be distracted by your job, your family, your friends, the television, and so on. How well have you kept your focus over the last 12 months?

One last thought for you. I greatly enjoyed the books and the movies of Lord of the Rings. At one point in the story Gandalf was speaking to Frodo about life and he said "all we have to do is to decide what we do with the time we are given."

The seven questions that you have just answered are telling you what you have chosen to do with your time over the last 12 months. Have you used your time to enhance your own life and the lives of others around you or have you just been allowing your time to slip away?

E-zine Advertising, An Affordable Alternative To Google

written by: Paul Ranger

http://www.profitingforward.com

You would like your website to be at the top of the search engines result page, that way, you can get some free targeted traffic, and save money on advertising. However, this has been more difficult than you would like it to be.

Google's pay per click advertising is an excellent alternative, except, It can be costly, depending on your keywords.

There is however, an even better, and affordable option: E-zine Advertising, that is, advertising in on-line magazines.

Let's do a comparison: suppose you ran an ad in an e-zine with a readership of 20,000 and that ad cost you $30.00.and only 5% of the readers click on your ad which is 1000 clicks (I'm assuming you have written a compelling ad. If not, no form of advertising will help!) In terms of cost per click it would amount to 0.03 cents per click.

Now, compare that to a pay per click ad in google or yahoo, where you would have to bid the highest for the keywords that will trigger your ad to display before the searcher/potential customer. Lets say you bid on a keyword like "exercise equipment." To get a realistic display you would have to bid at least 10 cents or more per click. If 1000 people clicked on your ad like they did in the e-zine ad. you would pay $100.00 or more for a pay per click ad in google or yahoo.

Which would you rather pay $30.00 for a e-zine ad or $100.00 or more for a pay per click ad, for the same amount of clicks?

Another thing to consider is this, when you disable your google ad, the flow of traffic from that source stops. But, when it comes to e-zine ads, many e-zine publishers archive their past issues. If someone request an issue from a few weeks ago, and your ad is in that issue, that will be additional exposure for your website without you paying extra money for it. This is not be done with ppc advertising. Couple this with the use of an auto responder and you'll save even more money in the long run.

To make it quick and easy for webmasters to find on-line magazines to advertise in, "The Directory of Ezines" has a database of e-zines with a wide range of topics, so they can find the right one to advertise in for their particular product or service. If you had to gather this
information on your own, it would take you a very long time.

With stiff competition in S.E.O. and PPC advertising. It's good to know that e-zine advertising provides an affordable, targeted and effective alternative for website owners, and affiliate marketers to reach more customers and earn more money.

Headlines Secrets That DOUBLE Your Response

Copyright© Omar Jackson

http://www.profitingforward.com

If you want to “ramp up response” from your ad, consider revising the headline. Many business owners don’t realize how critical the headline is to an ad’s success.

Over the years, marketers have tested what works and what doesn’t in print ads and direct mail. And tests have proven many times that the headline is responsible for at least 50% and as much as 75% of an ad’s success.

So what guidelines can you use in creating your next ad? Here are some powerful ways to create an ad that gets noticed:

1. Appeal to self-interest. Providing a benefit is the most powerful technique you can use in a headline. That was the conclusion of early marketing pioneer Claude Hopkins, who would test nearly 2,000 headlines for just one product during his time at Foote, Core & Belding’s forerunner, Lord & Thomas.

Benefit-oriented headlines also tend to “select” the audience — that is, by its very nature, an IT manager would be attracted to a headline that promised, “Job tickets never stack up with new SuperHelpDesk.”

2. Appeal to news. People are always interested in “the news” and “what’s new.” In business, “new” could mean a competitive advantage or perhaps something that can solve a problem.

According to research, the “news” headline is second only to the “self-interest” headline in pulling power. Headlines that are news-oriented often use the words, “new,” “now,” “finally,” and the ever popular, “announcing.” However, there are other ways of implying “new,” as illustrated by this fictitious headline: “Hungry Market Snaps Up Latest Jaguar Model.”

3. An appeal to curiosity. Humans are innately curious, so headlines that appeal to curiosity can be very strong. However, they’re not usually as strong as headlines that contain a benefit or that imply news. The best way to use curiosity is to combine it with an appeal to self-interest, or newsworthiness. Compare, for instance, the headline that provokes curiosity, “Here’s one question you should never ask your CEO, “ with one that stimulates curiosity and offers a benefit: “Here’s one question you should never ask your CEO before you get your raise.” See the difference?

While self-interest, news, and curiosity “lead the pack” for powerful headlines, there are other strong approaches, such as:

• Question-based headlines. These are more powerful than statement-based headlines, but be sure not to ask a question that could elicit a “no” response.

• “Problem-based” headlines. These are more powerful than “solution-based” headlines. Why? Because “problem-based” headlines tap into the reader’s pain. For instance, note the difference between “Having ROI Troubles?” (problem-based), and “Get a Better Bottom Line” (solution-based).

• If your product or service makes something “faster,” or “easier, ” or both, try to convey these powerful benefits in the headline. Tests prove that readers respond well to “fast and easy.”

And what about headline length?

There’s always those who say a shorter headline is better. And it may look better on the page. But that doesn’t make it pull better. Tests continually prove that a good headline can be short, or long, or even very long…20 or 26 words. The best headline is the headline that attracts readers’ attention, and pulls them into the copy.

According to the direct marketing industry bible, Scientific Advertising, it’s not uncommon for a change in headlines to multiply returns from five to ten times over. That’s 500% to 1000%!

So why does the headline for this article say a good headline can double response?

Because there’s another time-tested rule of headline writing and that’s “Make it believable.” You can always modify your message in the body copy to match the facts. But if your facts are hard to believe, and you use them in your headline, tests prove you’re flirting with disaster.

Procrastination - Why People Delay?

Copyright© Omar Jackson

http://www.profitingforward.com

To delay or postpone an action that needs to be done is procrastination. I will do this afterwards. There is enough time still. What do these people think by setting deadlines? I have my own priorities. This is boring. What I don't do this work at all? Ultimately what will I gain by doing this? Why cannot I have some freedom? Why everything needs to be done on time? These are all typical thoughts of a procrastinator. Rather if we finish a job in given time, we feel happier. But a lot many of us procrastinate. What are the possible reasons?

The first cause may be doing something means dropping something else which is more comfortable. Ask any smoker about when he/she proposes to drop the habit and the answer always mentions some time in future -never the present. Delay the process of pain and get as much pleasure as possible. But the pleasure that a procrastinator derives by delay is itself a pain. On the other hand if the procrastinator finishes the job in time, the pleasure of doing something unpleasant will be far greater. It also enhances self-esteem. But we still procrastinate. Is that not mysterious?

Fear of failure may be another possible cause. We may sometimes take up a task that looks very difficult. Our outcome can be known only when we try to finish it. Till we don't try, we are happy with the thought that we can probably do it. This fear of failing causes damage. The correct course would be try, if failure results, seek help and try again. But we postpone. There are many other underlying emotions that make a person procrastinate. The strange part is that a person may delay doing one thing but never delay another? For example, if given work in Math and history, a student may finish his/her Math works fast and postpone the History part. This may be as well vice versa.

Does procrastination help? It rarely does. It instead adds the pressure of guilt on the mind. It keeps the pressure on all the time. Doing a work and finishing with it can remove the pressure. By postponing it we stop our onward progress, because the incomplete work always remains on the agenda. Those who set time goals, and proceed according to the set schedules are far happier and self-confident persons. They always have the satisfaction of having finished the work. Those who don't value their time and in turn their life highly develop habits such as procrastination.

Tips On Building A Profitable Opt In List

Copyright© Omar Jackson

http://www.profitingforward.com

Have you realized that you need a good opt-in list if you want to own a successful online business? After reading countless articles, sought expert advices and reading many success stories of people creating a small fortune with opt-in lists, you finally decide to have one of your own. You think you know everything there is to know about opt-in lists and have followed expert advices to the T and you still weren’t able to make a profit.

In fact, you may be losing money. You may even be hiring writers to help you out, and incurring some expenses, but even with a big list, with only a very small percentage buying from you, you will still be losing profit.

Just what could have gone wrong? Why have others succeeded where you have failed? The most common mistake is that you dived straight right in. You chose a market that you think could be quite popular and would earn you money. This is just not the case. Just because you wrote people from the list doesn’t mean they are going to buy instantly.

Here are some tips for those who have started an opt-in list and have failed in making any money. Follow them and you can rejuvenate your failed venture. Even those who are starting out can make use these three quick and easy ways to build a profitable opt-in list.
1) Strive to gain your customers' trust first. Just launching your opt-in list would not make you an expert and a believable seller. Put out many articles first before you start an opt-in list. Write about the topic you know and have started and used for your site. Try to put up forums to gain knowledge about your customers' wants and needs and target them.

Join forums from other sites as well. Provide expert advices and recommendations. When you feel that people trust you already, you will be able to start your own opt-in list. You can build a base as well with other forum users. You can ask them to join your list. Friends are always good customers. Put up a link to your site so that they may be able to see what you're business is all about.

The certain truth is, the money will only come in when the consumers and subscribers believe and trust you. They want a product or service that could be a good value for their money. People are not going to buy something out of your recommendation if they don’t know you.

2) Find a product or service that people want and need. Although it may not be your forte, if you provide a service and product that you have researched and learned about well, you can carry it forward more convincingly. Invest your time, effort and money on products or services that can benefit your subscribers of your opt-in list.

While it is true that it is best to sell something that you have interest in, there are not many people who have the same interest as you if you decide to sell something that is not entirely popular or profitable. Do your research well and you would see the profits come in. Providing your subscribers with promotional material that they could actually use and spread around would be helpful.

3) Make friends with other opt-in list users. This is basically beneficial especially if it is someone who has already launched a successful opt-in list. These are the people that have the experience in this venture and experience is still the best teacher. While there are many articles available on the internet for you to use, there is nothing like getting a first hand account from someone you trust.

Experienced opt-in list users will be able to tell you what to do and what not to do because they have gone through it. While different situations occur for different people, the general concept can still be very helpful. There are many things to avoid and these people will be able to tell you which ones.

Building a profitable opt-in list don’t just happen overnight. Opt-in lists are built from scratch, as your list grows, you should also maintain the quality of your list. Keep it organized and manageable. Get or hire help if need be, just make sure that your subscribers are happy and satisfied, and they will be willing to buy from you.

Google AdWords: 5 Secrets for a Successful Campaign

Copyright© Omar Jackson

http://www.profitingforward.com

5 Secrets Of A Successful Google AdWords Campaign

The success of a Google AdWords project can be significantly enhanced if you follow 5 simple steps.

Step 1 - Define your marketing objectives

What are your marketing objectives?

Many users of Google AdWords become shortsighted and use the system to drive traffic to their site for instant sales. This leaves those companies who sell through other outlets, such as retail, confused as to where their opportunities lie with Google AdWords.

Google AdWords can help with 3 possible marketing objectives:

1. Direct Sales

If you simply wish to sell a product "off-the-shelf" then Google AdWords is perfect for you.

Drive traffic instantly to your web page and hey presto! Well, that's the theory.

2. Brand Awareness

Even if you're unlikely to achieve a sale on the internet, Google AdWords offers a unique and cost-effective opportunity for raising awareness of new products.

Take my example:

I was delivering some marketing training recently to a multinational dairy produce company and they happened to mention a new cheese product.

We discussed using Google AdWords and at first they couldn't see the opportunity. That was until we calculated how many searches are conducted each month for cheese. Some 20,000 if I recall correctly!

Do you know how much these companies spend on advertsising to raise awareness? Hundreds of thousands of pounds, dollars or whatever currency.

Yet here are 20,000 interested buyers searching for "cheese" where a minimum bid would succeed in getting the company infront of almost 1/4 million potential buyers each year! How great would that be.

Then by having these potential buyers sign up to some form of opt-in a long-term relationship can begin to develop.

3. Educational

Our local and central governments spend fortunes on raising awareness of social issues in an attempt to change behaviours.

Yet a search for "stop smoking", for example, provides us with a collection of private companies only. That's an opportunity wasted.

Step 2 - Analysis

Many new users to Google AdWords hit what is now known as the 'learning curve'.

Enthusiastically, marketers jump in to this new arena full of hope and excitement only to be disappointed. Campaigns cost too much and deliver too little.

The desired level of return can be achieved through effective analysis and planning.

For instance, you should use a service such as goodkeywords.com to understand EXACTLY how many searches are conducted for your keywords.

Also, wise marketers assess the level of competition for their main keywords to understand where they are likely to be effective and where they are not.

Step 3 - Create Campaign

When you know your strategy, A Google AdWords campaign can be created simply but effectively using your chosen keywords.

AdGroups should be grouped in a way which allows for ease of management.

Keywords ahould be selected in a way which provides for the most optimal return on investment.

Step 4 - Communicate

The most value you will gain from a customer is in the future not in the now.

Successful companies understand the rewards that can be gained by developing and nurturing a successful long-term relationship with a customer.

This can be done by online methods of e-mail newsletters or blog feeds plus traditional offline methods such as direct mail.

Step 5 - Monitor and Modify

All campaigns can be improved. Try split-testing with different headlines and ad text. A continuous improvement approach will lead to consistently higher click through rates and lower costs.

So there you have it - 5 Secrets of a Successful Google AdWords Campaign

Enthusiasm, Pure Divine Energy!

Copyright© Omar Jackson

http://www.profitingforward.com

Enthusiasm is one of the most divine feelings we can experience. Enthusiasm is energy vibrating at the highest level, energy vibrating in tune with creation. When we are feeling enthusiasm, we are on the cruise ship of divinity. This divine feeling of excitement is your reward for heading towards your true soul purpose. You will never feel enthusiasm when you are doing the “wrong” thing with the “wrong” people at the “wrong” time. When you are off track, you will feel emptiness, fatigue, depression, frustration and anger. Enthusiasm is what lets you know that you are right on track with your life.

The word « Enthusiasm » has its roots in the Greek language; it literally means « the God within ». The etymology of the word reminds us of the divine source of the feeling called enthusiasm. An enthusiastic person is someone who is positively possessed, in an extraordinary fashion, by the spirit of God.

Enthusiasm equals passion.
It is the thrill and tremble you feel when you take the risk of being yourself!
Enthusiasm is a wave emanating from the soul, lifting you up and taking you along.
It is the very Life Energy that freely flows through you when you dare to be yourself!

Enthusiasm can be seen in the twinkling of your eyes, the determination in your step, the strength in your hands, the irresistible energetic pull of what you have decided to create.

When you feel enthusiastic, nothing can stop you! You must and will go on, no matter what others are pulling out of their hat to try to stop you. When you are working towards your goal with enthusiasm, nothing can hold you back. You jump out of bed early in the morning because your goal, your dream, is calling you. The entire day you are working for the achievement of your goal, losing track of time without feeling hungry. You live in another dimension, carried along and aloft by a divine energy. The material details of life seem small and insignificant and they can no longer distract you, for you have more important things to do. You have a veritable Life Goal, something that entails your whole being and your whole doing.

When you are one with your Life Goal, you feel a divine energy carrying you; it is called enthusiasm. You are still in this world, but you are no longer of this world. You are able to accomplish large amounts of work that others may consider humanly impossible. It is this very divine energy flowing through you that enables you to accomplish the impossible.

Enthusiasm is the elevating force that lifts your dreams up to the stars.
The world evolves by grace of the powerful thrust of highly motivated, enthusiastic people.
Enthusiasm is the wondrous engine of life!

Enthusiasm is directly linked to passion. You have to find your passion in order to feel enthusiasm. You won’t be able to generate enthusiasm by endlessly repeating a lousy job you hate. You have to stop doing the things you hate, the things you don’t like, the things that drag your energy vibration down. You have to start doing what you like doing, what you have always liked doing since you were a kid, things that boost your energy, things you can lose yourself in while doing them, things that totally absorb you and make you lose track of time, make you forget about the details of daily routine.

This passion is your birthright – go look for it. I can help you find your passion if you want to find and claim it. Visit my website and find out how to discover your passion in life!

In closing I present to you a few quotes from celebrities:

A man dies for the first time, the day he loses his enthusiasm. – HonorĂ© de Balzac
All great moments in world history are due to the triumph of enthusiasm. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
A person incapable of enthusiasm is a mediocre person. – HonorĂ© de Balzac
Enthusiasm surfaces when you strive with dedication towards worthy goals. And it is enthusiasm that frees the energy and the power. – Woodrow Wilson
Enthusiasm carries the spirit towards sublime thoughts, surprising and true. – De Piles

A Plan Of Action

Copyright© Omar Jackson

http://www.profitingforward.com

You have finally made the decision that it is time to make some changes in your life. You know that the only way things are going to get better for you financially, spiritually and physically is if you sit up and take action. You know you have to put forth the effort in order to reap the rewards.

So how exactly are you going to implement these changes? You are going to have a "plan of action".

A plan of action is crucial to your success. Without a plan it is merely a thought. When you add your thoughts to paper coupled with a desire to see them become realities and proceed to do everything possible to fulfill that desire you have a template for success.

A simple equation to use when creating a plan of action from your template is: Desire + Effort = Results.

Your first step is to write down what exactly it is you desire. Albeit wealth, personal development or whatever you so strongly yearn for that you simply can no longer go without, write it down. Make your desires realistic. For example, if your desire is to lose 20 pounds, it is unrealistic to believe you can lose 20 pounds in 3 days. However, it is possible to lose 20 pounds in 3 months with a proper plan of action. It is important to note that there should be a time frame with regards to your plan. These time frames are the milestones to marking your achievements.

Now that you know what your specific desire is, list the ways in which you plan on achieving optimum results. How do I plan to lose these 20 pounds? What do I have to do each day in order to achieve my goal? What do I personally need to do to see this plan come to fruition?

Set up a schedule outlining each step that needs to be taken daily to achieve weekly goals. Be specific. Create a daily "to do" list. At the end of the week you will be able to see how much you were able to accomplish. Congratulate yourself for each accomplishment.

Make a commitment to yourself to "Work the Plan". Stay focused on the positive. List all the reasons why you will be able to achieve your objective. Utilize the strengths you possess that will help you to complete your plan.

Know your weaknesses and make a concerted effort to overcome them. Incorporate both your strengths and weakness into your plan of action. Know what you are capable of and know what your shortcomings are.

Have your own personal reward system in place. Know what each reward will be for each accomplishment that you have fulfilled throughout your plan. With every desired result you achieve there should be a reward for having done so. An incentive plan customized to your wants.

Do not let yourself get disheartened. If you have a temporary lapse or deviation from the plan acknowledge it and continue to move forward with your plan. Keep the pedal to the metal or your nose to the grindstone, just keep on taking action. Remember, this is not a race to the finish line. Your plan is your future. Take the time to nurture and understand it.

We've all heard the adage "Rome was not built in a day". Your success regarding your plan of action will not be achieved in one day either. Success is a process and the process is something you have a long-term plan for.

"You and only you can determine if the reward is worth the price you are paying for it in effort".

Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Consider Article Marketing

By: Nathan Park

Copyright© Omar Jackson

http://www.profitingforward.com

Article marketing is an increasingly popular method of increasing exposure online. The beauty of article writing and article submission for SEO is that you can effectively condense your whole optimisation and marketing strategy into one channel, for easier, targeted results. In this article, we will highlight ten of the main benefits of using article marketing as a means to promote your website.

1. Increase back-links
One of the main reasons for using articles to promote your website is that in each article, you are effectively creating a link back to your website. Additionally, if you're content is good enough, it may be picked up and distributed across other sites, even further increasing the variety of links to your site.

2. Establish yourself as an industry expert
Publishing quality content that's relevant to your industry and target audience is a great way to promote yourself as an expert within your respective market. By establishing your self as a credible source of information through quality article copywriting, you present an overall positive image of your business, which can be truly invaluable. Of course, if you publish terrible content, the reverse is also true, and you can seriously diminish your chances.

3. Cost effective as compared to other methods of marketing
When you consider the cost of other methods of marketing your website with article marketing, the latter becomes a significantly more attractive option. Consider your potential PPC spend over the course of a month. By investing this in article marketing as an SEO and PR strategy, you could gain significant coverage, which, unlike advertising, is far more permanent. Hence, article marketing is a particularly cost effective promotional tool.

4. Quickly achieve results
Article marketing is an effective way to promote your website and increase your linking diversity, but it is also a relatively quick way to achieve great long term results. Within a matter of weeks, you can see impressive results from increased visitor traffic through your website.

5. Flexibility in keyword targeting
Through the course of an article marketing campaign, you can choose to promote various different keywords, depending on the relevancy of various pages of your site. This means that, in effect, you can be flexible in the keywords you target across various articles you choose to submit. This means you can focus on improving the quality of articles, whilst also promoting different aspects of your website.

6. Increase natural traffic
Spreading all these articles which link back to your website across the internet is bound to be good marketing, regardless of SEO considerations. Getting your name out there to more browsers is guaranteed to increase the natural traffic through your website, which could ultimately lead to more direct sales as an added bonus along the way.

7. Quality content is valuable
By submitting quality content, you're almost guaranteed to increase the exposure of your website name, and your services as other webmasters use your articles. Submitting well-written articles that are insightful and useful will encourage other websites to adopt your content, which will further spread your links.

8. Easy to start
All you need to get your article marketing campaign up and running is some good quality articles, an idea about article submission techniques, and a concept of SEO. You don't need a lot of upfront capital, and you don't need to spend weeks planning, so in that sense, article marketing is a fairly easy marketing method to adopt.

9. Promote your brand
Spreading high quality articles linking to your site is a great way to create an overall positive impression of your company. This will make your company look like the ultimate experts, and cast your brand in a highly professional light, which is ultimately beneficial in a variety of different ways.

10. Effective way to promote your site overall
By creating a network of articles submitted across a range of directories, you are promoting your website in terms of linking and in terms of promoting your brand. All in all, article marketing is a very effective way to promote your website, both in terms of cost and efficiency.
